Contractor says the doors were very easy to install. They work like a charm and would highly recommend these doors. The installation instructions says it should have a strut (brace) on each of the four panels, but it only came with two. The installer tells me they will fix the issues.

Carriage House Door Overlay Patterns
He correctly diagnosed the issue over the phone, quoted a price, and gave me an idea of the time he could come fix it today. He called ahead, arrived just when he predicted he would, verified that the issue was what he’d thought from my phone description, and was quick, efficient, and professional. I would recommend this business to anyone needing garage door service. To add additional beauty to your door we offer a wide range of designer window options to create a door that enhances your home’s curb appeal without straining your budget.
I have noticed over time that mold builds on my overlays. Operation is smooth and quiet, great garage door, looks fantastic. Fit and finish is good.....except the window mullions.
"Coachman Garage Doors"
Our corrosion-resistant aluminum bottom seal retainer never rusts and is more durable than brittle plastic retainers. Precisely designed thermally broken section joints reduce air infiltration and create weather tight seal. California is a full vision door in aluminum frame. Consult the information below to know the technical specifications.
Our Carriage House Collection garage doors combine original carriage house designs with superior insulated steel construction to create a coordinated blend of looks and convenience. I love the way the doors compliment the rest of the garage. The carriage house look with in the craftsman style match the french doors on the side of the garage perfectly. Got the Clopay Gold Bar hardware upgrade and warranty.
"Delamination, can’t fix one panel"
The door got locked into place and the release had to be pulled. It came crashing down and the bottom panel was fractured. We wen to order a new panel and were informed that the entire door has to be replaced. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of- what a waste of money! I am completely satisfied with this door appearances and quality.
Construction
Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a beautiful, high quality garage door. I love the way the garage doors look but before we even moved into the house one whole section of one of the boards broke off the bottom of the garage door. So my opinion is there a little like Vegas, might look great but it’s just fake. They are very well made and the finish gives it a wooden appearance. Elevate your home's elegance with our sophisticated Coachman carriage house door, crafted with durable steel and composite construction.
These doors combine the classic swing-open appearance with the convenience of standard sectional garage doors. For the homeowners convenience, quiet Destiny® 1200 Belt Drive Openers were installed with a wireless keypad on the outside. These wood garage doors are available in several wood species as well as numerous stain & paint grades. The panels and glass sections can be customized to virtually any design.
I had Clopay coachman doors installed 10 years ago. They are metal panels with then hollow pure PVC overlays. No other doors look as good so I still went with Clopay coachman series. While painting the doors with a vinyl safe paint (essentially no black pigment in the formula) I see the overlays are now an actual composite material, not pure PVC. You can see this new type of overlay in the removable grills too when you pull it off. I called around before purchasing and sure enough installers all said they never see anymore delamination problems.
The design is attractive but the construction quality of both the door and installation is poor. I’m very disappointed. If and when these issues are addressed I will update this review. They work really well and add so much charm and character to my home. Stronger.Garage doors featuring Intellicore insulation technology represent the ultimate smart choice for homeowners. Clopay’s Intellicore is a proprietary polyurethane foam that is injected into a garage door, expanding to fill the entire structure.
I’m a mechanical engineer, and I’ve found a mechanical conflict that occurs where the double-track-low-headroom horizontal track meets the front torsion spring bracket. Further, even after we did some rearranging to make it work, the thick door (almost 3” with the composite trim on the front) hit the bottom of the spring bracket at the top. It cut a 1/4” notch into the top of the soft composite after opening it just a couple times.
Choose from a variety of factory finish paint and overlay colors to achieve your desired look. Plus, our removable beveled edge clip-in window grilles make cleaning a breeze. Complete with spade lift handles and step plates, you can add extra flair with our decorative hardware options. With a wide range of colors, decorative hardware and designer window styles we can custom design your door to perfectly match your home.
Proudly serving Harrisburg PA, Hanover-York PA, Frederick MD, Suburban and Southern MD, Washington DC, Northern VA, Fredericksburg VA, Richmond VA and the surrounding areas. The replacement garage doors have been star performers. The Coachman Collection is perfect for my two car detached garage. The look it creates is the icing on the cake for the entire property. The house is situated on a corner lot, the garage doors compliment the southern low country house design.
This makes the door design more visible from a distance thus enhancing your homes curb appeal. Powerful, quiet and durable, Overhead Door’s garage door openers are designed for performance, safety and convenience. We’re happy to help you choose the opener that best suits your door and preferences. I love the faux wood door with the composite overlays. It’s a perfect style for our house in the woods.
